Sr. Logistics Engineer
Summary: Works with various Manufacturing and Engineering departments to improve the efficiency of
internal logistics. Specifically focused on new technologies, existing process integration, and strategic
development of new methods and concepts. Evaluates logistics equipment and standards to improve
performance, cost, quality, and efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides leadership, technical guidance, and training to other team members.
Manages, coordinates, and implements internal logistics improvement projects to improve effectiveness,
quality, and cost.
Communicate with Management, Engineering, and other colleagues to ensure that best practices
are shared across the organization.
Works with all Manufacturing locations to ensure unified, consistent short- and long-term goals for
internal logistics.
Develops and implements internal logistics processes, procedures, and standards.
Develops and maintains open lines of communication with internal project teams, Koito advisors, and
suppliers related to projects.
Researches and implements new technology and equipment for internal logistics.
Stays current with state-of-the-art equipment technology and processes.
Participates in strategic capital equipment and budget planning and forecasting.
Participates in strategic equipment sourcing and supplier development.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline
6 to 8 years of experience in implementation of logistics/material handling equipment and processes
within manufacturing
Experience in automotive parts manufacturing is preferred
Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:

e. Computer skills — proficient in using standard business software (including MS Office)
f. Written and verbal communication and presentation skills

maintain composure in sensitive and confrontational situations
i. Able to work independently and complete both large and small-scope projects autonomously
