Responsibilities:

As an HR Generalist, you will be part of a fast-paced team of HR practitioners who handle a diverse set of business partner responsibilities. Each day will bring different challenges and responsibilities which will require you to shift back and forth from strategic problem-solving to tactical execution. You can expect to gain experience with strategic responsibilities such as management consultation, succession planning, and engagement surveys, as well as assignments like conducting investigations, overseeing day-to-day performance management issues, and acting as a point-of-contact to employees within your assigned business units. So what will this HR Generalist do?

  • Serve as an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to various business units
  • Develop a strong and trustworthy partnership with the business unit managers to align overall talent strategy to business priorities and objectives
  • Utilize business data to create insights and guide decisions in all aspects of people management
  • Provide confidential coaching support to managers and employees on any issue relating to their employment, including their role, managerial responsibilities, and team relationships
  • Manage their business units succession planning and talent management processes, including; staffing reviews, supporting the performance management process, and facilitating new employee on-boarding
  • Support strategic HR initiatives related employee engagement, complex change, and transformation programs
  • Investigate employee relations issues and grievances related to misconduct, misbehavior, and substandard performance under the guidance of senior corporate HR leadership
  • Act as the first point of contact for all personnel issues and partner with corporate HR to resolve employee concerns related to payroll, benefits, 401(k), and employee assistance programs

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in HR, or a comparable combination of education, certification, and experience
  • Three years of HR experience in a comparable business setting
  • Ability to travel for assignments and special events
  • Onsite with opportunity for work-from-home and/or flexible schedules
  • Reports to the Corporate Vice President, HR
