Program Analyst

This position requires an active Public Trust, or the ability to obtain the Public Trust, US Citizenship is required

Performs various technical, administrative and customer service functions in support of the Office of Security and Emergency Management.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Program Analyst: $80,000 to $84,000/year.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Program Analyst Responsibilities Include:
  • Supports the following security programs as needed: Personnel Security, Physical Security, Emergency Management, Risk Management, Performance Assurance. Expertise in all these fields is not required as the work performed will be under the direction and observation of Program Managers and subject matter experts.
  • Assists with the processing of background investigation and other personnel screening documents containing private information. Tracks the submission of applicant documents to ensure deadlines are met and forms are complete. Follows-up with and provides guidance to applicants, communicates with HR, Procurement, supervisors, and CORs. Manages sensitive personnel security software, databases, and files. Performs credentialing duties. Ensures the confidentiality of Personally Identifiable information (PII) and protects sensitive security information.
  • Coordinates badging, credentials and identification processes for federal employees, contractors, and other affiliates. Assists customers with obtaining, maintaining, updating, and returning badges and credentials. Tracks all badges returned on a spreadsheet. Maintains the security of all badges and ensures they are destroyed/dispositioned properly. Communicates with supervisors on missing badges. Generates statistical reports.
  • Assists with the deployment and maintenance of physical security measures. Assists with physical security projects: tracking deliverables, coordinating local support and inspections, communicating standards and project status to managers, etc. Coordinates project tasks across various departments such as IT and maintenance.
  • Assists with site security surveys, inspections, and external audits.
  • Prepares security reports and briefs, including security incident reports.
  • Works with a local guard force on policies and procedures, special events, and performance testing.
  • Supports the development of security policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Conducts administrative and programmatic tasks as directed by the customer's Chief of Security Programs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Program Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • 3 years in any security role or 1 year in an administrative role, required
  • Attention to detail and discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, required
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Exceptional people skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
