Job Summary and Qualifications The Infection Prevention Coordinator is responsible for active participation in facility clinical improvement activities. Experience with daily surveillance, analysis and reporting of hospital acquired infections. The Infection Prevention coordinator serves as an internal consultant in regards to data collection, analysis, reporting and team facilitation in relation to improving patient outcomes related to health care associated infections and infectious diseases. The Infection Prevention Coordinator is responsible for coordination, facilitation and leadership of infection prevention and control activities related to patient and health care worker safety and quality/performance improvement initiatives.

What qualifications you will need:

Will consider medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or Masters Degree in Public Health.

Current state professional license as required by profession or certification/registration as required by field of practice.

Certification in Infection Control (CIC) desirable (or certify when eligible). Hospital experience preferred.

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital. We serve the communities of Seminole and West Volusia County. At HCA Healthcare, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We provide the only full-service cardiovascular program. Our program offers open-heart surgery and interventional cardiology. Electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services are also offered by this program. Other services that we provide include orthopedic and spine care, as well as robotic surgery. We offer acute inpatient medical rehabilitation and complete imaging services.
