The Project Estimator will be responsible for the preparation and development of bid proposals and related cost estimates. The Project Estimator should have extensive knowledge of construction means & methods, costs, and engineering principles. Position Responsibilities:

  • Review of project plans and documents.
  • Perform accurate take-offs.
  • Obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers.
  • Proficiently prepare thorough and accurate bids for projects.
  • Work closely with Chief Estimator to finalize proposals.
  • Present bid proposals to clients in a professional manner.
  • Negotiate with clients to win projects.
  • Attend and participate in job meetings when necessary.
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure the company is receiving the best values available.
  • Communicate and interact with clients to better serve their needs.
  • Always promote the general well-being of the company.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and team/company-oriented attitude.
  • Always hold the company in the highest regard.

Qualifications: BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not necessary. 5-10 years' experience as an Estimator on heavy civil related projects required. Utilities construction a plus. Experience with specialized software such as B2W, Agtek, Bluebeam, MS Project, MS Office or similar.
