What You'll Do
  • Promote safe work environments through example; good housekeeping & effective safety meetings
  • Manage daily operations
  • Communicate important shift information, production issues, concerns and needs with proper personnel
  • Pian out production for most efficient process
  • Ensure forklift and crane reports are completed each shift
  • Utilize improvement projects that increase the departments functionality
  • Analyze, treat & establish counter measures for failures
  • Plan maintenance work as well as work routinely with vendors
  • Monitor daily staffing needs and communicate with other employees to fill in vacancies to maintain operations
  • Plan and attend required staffing and safety meetings
  • Planning of future budgets
  • Hold Performance Reviews with employees and/or give feedback on employees performance
What You'll Need
  • Minimum 5 years of Refractory Experience
  • Experience managing people and budgets
  • Experience in Inventory Control
  • Proficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Data entry in SAP/QMOS experience
  • Ability to track, chart, and improve processes
Your Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
