This position reports to the Sr. Buyer, the Jr. Buyer will be responsible for analyzing and purchasing to manufacturer material requirement plans and forecast for a variety of commodities to support the manufacturing floor and all other business units.
**Responsibilities:**
* Analysis MRP Plan to procure the correct material to the required production dates
* Manage Inventory levels
* Accuracy of PO pricing, dates and quantities
* Interface with all of the business units
* Develop new suppliers injunction with engineering
* Ensure on time delivery from your suppliers
* Expedite and escalate as required to meet a dynamic production schedule
* Be able to support Multi facilities
**Requirements:**
* Must have strong computer skills & Organizational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Good negotiation skills
* Must be able to Multi task
* Must have experience in analyzing and procuring to a material requirement plan
* Experience in commodity buying
* Experience with AS 400 software platforms a plus
* 1 3 yrs. experience in Purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
