Full-time Associate Veterinarian opening at Animal Medical Center of Plainfield located in Plainfield, IL.

Animal Medical Center of Plainfield is seeking full-time veterinarian to join our growing team. AMC Plainfield is a small animal GP practice that provides reliable general care for our valued clients, and also offers emergency medicine and critical care services 24 hours a day. We perform a variety of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries to suit your interest. If you prefer no surgery, there is a place for you here, too.

Our scheduling offers much flexibility as work/life balance is important to us, and we are offering a customizable sign-on package.

  • 2 fully equipped surgical suites
  • Digital radiographic diagnostics including dental radiographs

  • 10 exam rooms
  • Mentorship and collaboration with 12+ doctors on staff
  • Separate overnight staffing for 24/7 veterinary care of emergencies and hospitalized patients

Category 1 (pick one of the below):
  • $30,000 student loan repayment ($10,000/year for 3 years)
  • $10,000 bonus to be used for a down payment on a home for relocation (one time up front)

  • $20,000 retention bonus ($5k, $5k, $10k over 3 years)
Category 2 (pick one of the below):
  • $3,000 additional CE with double CE days for your first two years

  • $1,500 donation to charity of choice
  • $5,000 reimbursement for relocation expenses
For new graduates of the classes of 2021 and 2022, this position will be included in the NVA Illinois Mentorship Program. In this program, our ADVMs will have access to:
  • One on one surgical and medical support from Dr. Sandra Faeh, current VP of AVMA, an NVA practice owner, and Illinois Mentor
  • Suite of wellness programming focusing on stress management and cultivating a balanced approach to your life
  • Cohort of other new graduate ADVMs in Illinois with planned social events, team bonding, and engagement, regardless of current clinic worked in


Located 40 minutes from Chicago and neighboring Naperville, Plainfield is a large and vibrant community perfect for families or young adults. Downtown Plainfield and Naperville offer many restaurants, breweries and shopping establishments.
