Position Summary:
A Servery Assistant is responsible for maintaining positive impressions for Carle Health. This position is responsible for processing cash, debit & credit transactions using a Point of Sales system, answering customers questions and phone calls, reconciling cash register, making change, preparing Starbucks beverages, re-stocking items, and maintaining a safe and sanitized worked area, while giving friendly customer service.

Qualifications:
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
ANSI Accredited Food Handler Certification within 30 days.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to follow written and oral communication. Ability to verbally communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisor and guests of the hospital. Knowledge of cash handling. Ability to complete multiple cash and charge transactions accurately. Friendly customer service skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Re-stock food and small wares supplies according to the established par levels.
  • Deliver food items accurately and in a timely manner to guest.
  • Keep retail or production preparation areas clean and sanitary using the established Public Health District standards.
  • Follow guidelines for food handling and sanitation and ensure compliance.
  • Prepares food and beverage requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete dish and ware washing duties as assigned.
  • Perform accurate cash handling for guest charges.
  • Provides friendly customer service.
