Sanitation Lead

This is an overnight position.General Responsibilities:As a Lead you will be providing employees in the Sanitation department with the proper PPE and leadership that is needed during work hours. This position requires a good knowledge of the production equipment, plant facilities and sanitation practices.Specific Responsibilities:Directs and provides guidance to other sanitation employees in the performance of their daily duties.Communicate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance personnel on issues needing sanitation attention or corrective action and file accordingly.Ensure that departmental sanitation work is performed in a safe manner according to company safety standards.Train employees within the department on general and equipment specific sanitation procedures.Monitor production equipment for proper operation and performance. Serve as backup to the sanitation Manager in their absence.Know and follow all departmental GMP and SOP's.Track and record chemical usage and other Sanitation supplies and consumables.Responsible for overseeing employees in the room you are assigned.Responsible for Pre-Operation Sanitation.Some overtime required.Perform other tasks as assigned.Desired Background/Experience:Previous experience managing others. Be able to read and speak English. Previous Sanitation experience required. Team player. Positive attitude. Knowledge of computer programs word and excel preferred.
