Summary: This position will entail processing property tax returns, business license renewals, as well as special assigned projects. Performs a variety of clerical accounting tasks in support of the accounting function.

  • Compensation: $21 - $23 hr, plus bonus
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Renew business licenses for the company.
  • Compiles and sorts invoices and checks.
  • Handles accounts payable duties.
  • Records business transactions.
  • Keys daily worksheets into the general ledger system.
  • Records charges and refunds.
  • Utilizes computer systems to run databases, pay bills and order supplies.
  • Filing of annual property tax returns for multiple states.
  • Cross train and/or act as back up for other positions in the department.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
General Responsibilities:
  • Promote and support company image standards.
  • Adheres to all city, county, state and federal regulations.
  • Stay familiar with the Company Handbook and Company Policies.
  • Communicate effectively with team members in other departments to resolve problems and provide information as needed.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all accidents immediately.


Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

Be Proficient in Excel, with the ability to learn accounting software. Data entry experience with the ability to key a 10 key by touch. Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor. Typically requires a high school diploma and 4 to 6 years of experience.
