Civil Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a Civil Engineer for a full-time opportunity in Mobile, AL.

Overview: Join our client's Central Engineering group as a Civil Engineer, where you'll apply your expertise in civil/structural disciplines to support various industrial projects. Utilize your skills in technical analysis, project coordination, and documentation to contribute to the success of our client's engineering endeavors.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and consultancy in civil/structural disciplines to the management structure.
• Coordinate engineering activities for maintenance areas, including technical analysis, cost estimates, and visual inspections.
• Coordinate third-party engineering contracting services from scope definition to close-out document phase.
• Ensure technical support for project management, maintaining technical quality and documentation.
• Establish minimum technical requirements for equipment/system purchase or modification.
• Maintain updated technical documentation for consultation.
• Collaborate with team members and production to develop project needs.
• Provide regular updates to internal customers.
• Coordinate and execute multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and present reports and findings, analyzing information and trends.
• Review accident/incident reports and assist in investigations as required.
• Lead, support, and participate in improvement programs and project groups.
• Optimize quality, cost, availability, and performance of equipment.
• Coordinate and direct personnel as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in engineering in an industrial, construction, or similar industry.
• Knowledge of civil/structural industrial applications, including drainage standards, abatement, international building code, pavement, reinforced concrete applications, roadways, foundations, and steel structure applications.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD required; SolidWorks and REVIT experience a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, working with professionals, operations personnel, and construction trades.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• P.E. License desired (AL or reciprocal state)
