Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records and ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist with the month end close.
• Prepare and post month end close journal entries.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Reconcile weekly and monthly the feed invoiced with the feed recorded in production records.
• Reconcile dozens reported within the sales verification with dozens reported in production records.
• Maintain flock records and amortize value accordingly.
• Ensure SOPs are maintained for positions within scope of supervision
• Maintain records of business transactions and product inventories
• Lead, motivate, and coach a team of direct reports
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: B.A. with emphasis in accounting preferred

EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years' experience preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS: Speak English or Bilingual

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to sit for long period of time. General climate-controlled office environment. Will be required to visit all operations as requested. Temperature at work sites will vary depending upon season and location. Exposure to various elements inherent with Agriculture production.
