Arconics Springdale Arkansas Plant is looking for an Automation Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering Team. The automation engineer is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing physical and digital automation solutions for the Springdale Arkansas location. These solutions will aim to improve plant safety, efficiency, and productivity. The Engineer will also be responsible for Capital Execution which includes developing project cost estimates, providing project justification, contract / vendor management, and project cost accounting. The Engineer will also be the lead person for at least one safety protocol.Job Responsibilities and Duties:Improve the overall safety of the plants equipment and processes.Provide engineering innovations that will improve process control and product quality.Perform / direct the design, development, and installation of complex engineering projects.Lead PLC integration of data to process data historians. (OSI Pi and IBA as examples)Maintain a current awareness of the latest technologies in mechanical, electrical, control, and automation systems.Develop and implement engineering solutions to eliminate repetitive equipment failures.Lead/Facilitate risk assessment and value analysis to make accurate engineering decisions for repair/replace/redesign.Interact and clearly communicate with multiple levels within the organization across departments including finance, procurement, production, maintenance, and senior management.#J-18808-Ljbffr
