Recruitment Specialist at SEEMAC Incorporated SEEMAC, Incorporated Job Title Accounts Payable Clerk Department Accounting and Administration Summary The Accounts Payable Clerk will assist the accounting department with data entry, processing transactions, updating the general ledger, and performing office administration duties. The role also provides assistance with audits, fact?checking, and preparing reports. The ideal candidate is highly detail oriented, a team player, and adaptable to change. This is an onsite position in Carmel, Indiana. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process vendor invoices for payment. Process expense reimbursements and administrative invoices. Check preparation and organization. Support accounting operations by filing documents, reconciling vendor statements, and running software programs. Maintain reconciliations and report discrepancies. Administrative duties including maintenance, mail, supplies, filing, printing, and copying. Maintain the office condition, arrange necessary repairs, and order supplies. Provide general support to visitors and callers, maintain voicemail inbox. Serve as backup while other team members are out of office. Provide support to accounting department during audits. Perform additional responsibilities as determined by supervisor. Qualifications and Skills Familiarity with financial software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Reconciliation experience preferred. Strong organization, attention to detail, productivity, ability to multitask, and dependability. Automated AP Process experience helpful. Education and Experience Requirements Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent related work experience. Must have an understanding of basic accounting principles. Language Skills Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Computer Skills Ability to learn company computer system; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel or similar word processing and spreadsheet programs. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form; attention to detail and accuracy; good organizational skills; ability to recognize, correct errors, and work independently. Physical Demands Requires sitting, using hands, talking, and hearing; reaching with hands and arms; occasionally standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally; specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
