As a Structural Engineer (EIT) on our team you will be responsible for upholding our engineering standards for our sustainable residential and commercial structures.

Position Summary

+ Participate in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings and/or supervise the production of these drawings.

+ Attend site visits with clients, architects, and subcontractors.

+ Conduct engineering investigations and planning work including the collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.

+ While our principle structural medium is wood, both solid-sawn and engineered timber, you will also be responsible for the engineering of concrete, steel and other building materials as needed for our projects.

+ Work with our in-house design team, as well as outside architects.

+ Perform engineering calculations.

+ Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.

Qualifications

+ BS/MS in related Engineering Field

+ 2+ years experience as a Structural/Architectural Engineer

+ Experienced in CAD programs

+ Expertise in sustainable design and building.

+ Expertise in providing consultative style service.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Positive, team player that thrives in a fast-moving environment.

Compensation & Benefits
