Also must be able to read blueprints. in order to fabricate or modify parts for industrial machinery. Employees will practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures; comply with all costumer rules and safety procedures and policies. Must be willing to work flexible shifts, and be subject to overtime. Tobacco free facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:A Machinist will perform as a skilled team member in the continuous improvement, fabrication, and repair of tire manufacturing equipment and components otherwise working as a Plant Mechanic.Read blueprints, drawings, and technical publicationsRead and understand metric or standard measurementsCalculate dimensions and/ or tolerances using a knowledge of applicable mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipersMust have a complete set of basic hand tools, gauges, micrometers, and calipers appropriate for industrial machine workProficiently operate lathes, mills (2&3 axis), and band sawsExperience:At least 2-years experience as Machinist/Plant MechanicPreferred Keyseater experienceQualifications & Skills:Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical mattersMust be a team playerAbility to read blueprints, drawings, and technical publicationsAbility to read and understand metric or standard measurementsAbility to calculate dimensions and/ or tolerances using a knowledge of applicable mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipersMust have a complete set of basic hand tools, gauges, micrometers, and calipers appropriate for industrial machine workProficiently operate lathes, mills (2&3 axis), and band saws Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSignMay be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsMust posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified aboveMust be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areasMust have full range of motion consistent with ageMust be able to climb and maintain balance laddersMust be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noisesVisual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfacesSafety/Steel toe shoes are required.Notice to prospective employees:There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.EMCOR Group and is companies list open positions here.Please check our available positions to confirm that a post or email is genuine.
