The qualified candidate will work under the general direction of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design on a variety of military systems, ranging from combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions. The Electrical Engineer provides detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product application. Skills Required Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems. Experience in creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawings. Ability to create and manage interface control documents. Ability to perform circuit simulation (PSpice or LTspice). Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey data, information, and technical results. Skills Preferred Hands-on troubleshooting of circuits using oscilloscopes and multimeters. Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW, Test Stand. Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio. Experience Required Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis. Experience developing technical documentation – such as drawings, reports, and technical analysis. Experience Preferred Experience with engineering design of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for military systems. Experience with programming National Instruments test equipment using LabVIEW and Test Stand. Education Required Typically requires 1+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field, or 0+ years with a Master's degree. Education Preferred Experience using a database. Good computer skills with MS Office suite to prepare appropriate metrics, reports, and documents. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Attention to detail, coupled with good time management and organization skills. Sound interpersonal skills for interfacing and coordinating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. General knowledge of relevant configuration management and design engineering standards, manufacturing processes, and documentation including military standards MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-31000, industry CM standard EIA-649, and/or Drawing standards ASME Y14.24 and ASME Y14.100. Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM). MS Excel advanced user knowledge of complex formulas. Familiarity with CMMI requirements. Ability to develop/demonstrate research and presentation skills. Experience using Windchill to manage product data. Typically a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 4+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Defense industry experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
