KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop predictive models on large-scale datasets to address various business problems with statistical modeling, machine learning, and analytics techniques. Develop and implement scalable, efficient, and interpretable modeling algorithms that can work with large-scale data in production systems Collaborate with product management and engineering groups to develop new products and features Assist in testing and validating AI model performance and addressing any issues or bottlenecks in the software QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, or data analytics concepts Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java and C Familiar with one or more machine learning or statistical modeling tools Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability, and conceptual skills Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, collaboration skills and is a team player Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field. At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $50-60/hr. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.
