Description:
Silo is seeking a friendly, team oriented, multitasking, counter server with great attention to detail from start to finish. Our servers will deliver a genuine smile, while continually learning our changing menu and enhancing the quality of our customer service. Silo is located at the Hayden Ferry business park on the corner of Rio Salado and Mill Ave. We feature an espresso bar, various sandwiches, salads, and other cold items for a quick service. as well as hot, cooked to order lunches. We will deliver for nearby offices.

Silo is only open M-F, Breakfast and Lunch, NO WEEKENDS. We are currently looking for part-time help.

Requirements:
This is a diverse position that entails running food, making coffee, prepping food, bussing, running the register and making friends with our guests.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 18 years or older
- Prior coffee experience a plus but not necessary
- Food handling card or certification through approved organization, and ability to apply that knowledge by way of proper food handling
- POS experience desired but not necessary
- Strong communication skills in a highly social environment
- Basic knowledge of common weights and recipe measurements
- Able to lift and move 30-50 pounds
- Able to sustain working long hours on your feet
- Should have reliable transportation to get to scheduled shifts on time

MAIN DUTIES:

- Creates welcoming environment for all customers by greeting them promptly and educating them about our coffee and food menus
- Develop a rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks and food items.
- Keep up to date with current coffee beans being offered, specialty drinks or new food items
- Prepares drinks properly according to both our menu's recipes and customer's requests
- Apply safe Food Handling and Sanitation practices when preparing, handling or storing consumable items
- Maintains a working environment that is set up for success, by stocking product properly, finishing prep lists accurately, putting away orders and completing daily shift cleaning duties for opening, mid and closing shifts
- Keep all equipment in good working order by means of proper use and communicates when something is not working as it should
- Maintaining guest areas, by routine bussing of plates and glassware, cleaning tables, stocking display areas so they look neat and plentiful, keeping floors swept, and take out trash as needed.
