DescriptionColson Group is one of the largest manufacturers of caster and wheel products in the world. A Welder/Press Operator processes welded product/finished goods by adding a date code to reflect when the product was manufactured. The Press Operator is also trained in Robotic Welding Operation. Reports work results, priorities, progress, and other related activities to management, in the support of company initiatives, standards, policies, and overall continuous improvement.Weld and/or form products based on bill of materials (BOM), work instructions and job travelers. Use of computers to report labor, print product labels, transfer inventory etc. Perform general machine maintenance i.e. oil changes, machine cleaning. Operate welding and metal forming machines. Follow written and oral work instructions. Perform machine set up/changeover. Keep assigned areas neat and orderly. Workers are required to lift packages up to 50 pounds. 8+ hours of standing and walking. High school degree or equivalent. Certification in welding is preferred.Welding (1-2 years).Basic Computer skills (i.e. data entry, general knowledge).Operate basic hand tools (i.e. air drivers, wrenches, etc.).
