Don't miss out on the chance to be a part of a growing airport - Apply now#Aviation #AirportJobs #NowHiring Under general direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Airport Operations Specialist II is a customer service position that is primarily responsible for supporting all ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft, flight crews, and passenger operations at the FBO and commercial passenger terminal. This position will also provide general support for airport operations and maintenance as requested.Hours:This position is primarily early mornings, weekends but may be required to work other hours as needed based on business needs. Casual Call is as needed, must be flexible with hours. Base pay is $20.73/hour and up based on experience.Key ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Perform aircraft ground services to commercial and general aviation aircraft with all supplies and materials as may be required. Act as a Ground Security Coordinator, Cross Utilized Agent (CUA), ground handling lead, trainer and/or take an active role in improving the performance of ground handling and FBO operations. Provide fuel and deice quality assurance and quality checks, perform airline fuel audits, oversee equipment repair and needs, and perform inventory of product to ensure safe and efficient service to our customers. Engage with customers and key stakeholders, assist them with their needs, and provide exceptional customer experience to achieve customer service objectives. Assist with the development of staff work schedules, staff efficiency models, and staffing plans.Meet and greet customers, assist them with their needs, and strive to provide exceptional customer experience. Assist passengers and pilots in boarding and disembarking the aircraft along with any baggage and cargo. Tow and marshal aircraft, ensure aircraft are chocked, locked, and secure. Operate ground support equipment including fuel trucks, deice trucks, tugs, carts, belt loaders, portable stairs, air starts, GPUs, automobiles, etc. including providing appropriate reports, checklists, and paperwork. Maintain, clean, and organize facilities, equipment and grounds, to ensure airport facilities and grounds remain, safe, organized, and ready for operation. Provide security in and around airport facilities and grounds for customers and visitors. Communicate via two-way radio, direct customers, drivers, and flight crews where needed. Provide snow removal support during and outside of normally scheduled hours. Support commercial ground, facility, and passenger services, such as commercial terminal aircraft ground support, baggage handling, facility and grounds maintenance, valet services, and other duties as assigned.Other duties as requested or assigned. Education/Certifications/Experience Requirements Graduate from high school or G.E.D. and valid Wisconsin driver's license.Experience running small equipment and vehicles.Or, any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Required or Preferred Skills Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.Pass FAA Drug and Alcohol testing, TSA background security checks, and other testing as required. Ability to obtain NATA Safety First certification and other job-related training certificates.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, direct interface, over telephone and in writing.Ability to professionally engage and service passengers, pilots, flight crews and other airport visitors. Ability to make decisions with multiple objectives and implement in a safe, efficient manner. Follow oral and written directions; plan and complete assigned duties on a regular schedule; and maintain good working relationships with others. Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, days, nights, and extended hours as needed. Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks including but not limited to: aircraft fueling, loading baggage and cargo, facility cleaning, valet vehicle relocation, vehicle washing, aircraft cleaning and vacuuming, and snow removal. Ability to work without direct management supervision. Wisconsin Retirement SystemWisconsin Retirement Program helps provide for financial security during retirement. Monthly annuity payments at retirement are calculated using years of creditable service, average earnings (based on three highest years of earnings), formula factors, age at retirement and selected annuity option.The retirement plan consists of two parts: an employee-required portion and an employer-required portion. Outagamie County pays the employer portion, and employees are responsible for paying the employee-required portion, which is determined by the state each year. Enrollment is required for eligible employees. Eligibility is determined based on Wisconsin Retirement System plan rules.Flexible Spending Account Plan The Flexible Spending Account Plan saves money by allowing the employee to pay for certain medical related expenses and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis, reducing annual taxable income resulting in Federal, State, Social Security, and Medicare tax savings. Employee Assistance Program Outagamie County has an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The services offered as part of the County's plan are a benefit provided at no cost to its employees and their immediate family members to help deal with life's stresses. EAP consists of caring individuals who are certified counselors. They offer professional support and direction towards resolving problems or concerns. They can also help by referring the employee to another resource if assistance is needed beyond the EAP. Paid Time OffOutagamie County offers several paid time off benefits that include: vacation, personal holidays, national holidays, sick leave, bereavement leave and military leave. Deferred Compensation Deferred Compensation allows employees to set aside pre-tax earnings toward retirement. Employees can save up to 100% of their compensation, to a maximum of $20,500 annually, or as little as $10.00 per paycheck. The amount deferred reduces year-end state and federal income tax base. All the earnings will accrue tax-deferred until such time as the assets are withdrawn, generally at retirement, termination, or other special circumstances. There is also an after-tax 457 Roth contribution option.Employee and Family ClinicPrimary Health Services are available to employees and dependents ages 2 and up, who are covered on a county health plan.Behavioral Health Services are available for all county employees regardless of county health coverage.Pet Employee and Family ClinicPlease note that the pet insurance offers are discounts offered to Outagamie County employees and are not programs sponsored by Outagamie County.
