Associate Attorneys work alongside Legal Assistants, Paralegals, Team Managers, Partners, and other Associates to prepare and file a variety of business-related non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including taking a leading role in client communication, working closely with legal support teams to ensure understanding of general and specific case strategies, and conducting high-level case reviews of work done by legal support teams. We are looking for an Associate Attorney to support our Oakland office; remote applicants will be considered, with preference given to candidates who are able to work according to Pacific Time Zone business hours.
Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and communicating options to address clients' business immigration needs
- Maintaining timely and accurate lines of communications with clients both during and after the application process to provide support with immigration program management and compliance
- Supervising and collaborating with supporting staff to ensure that applications are prepared and filed correctly
- Maintaining accuracy for high volume, rapid turnover cases
- Assisting clients and staff with questions throughout the filing process
- Other duties as required
- Valid membership in an applicable Bar association
- 1-3 years of business immigration experience in an associate position
- 3+ years of business immigration experience in a paralegal or equivalent position
- Proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Strong organization skills
- Experience managing multiple competing priorities independently
- Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills
