Human Resources Business Partner

Position Overview
In search of an HRBP that will serve as a consultant to management on human resources-related topics. This position will act as a champion and change agent through consultation and day to day HR support. Responsibilities include employee relations, workforce planning, performance management/coaching, training and employee development, compensation and policy interpretation in a manner that is aligned with company policies and procedures.
Employee Relations / Talent Management
Provide employee relations guidance to managers to ensure effective application of company policies/procedures
Drive employee engagement through supporting action planning, communication, and talent development
Identify and investigate root causes and employee relations issues and create strategies to address them
Management and implementation of programs relative to employee development, retention, performance management, onboarding, career development, and succession planning
Work with HR and management to identify immediate/long-term skill needs and develop strategies accordingly
Analyze turnover, identifying trends and making recommendations to affect the retention of talent
Business Partnership/Labor Relations
Participates in the development and execution of department goals, objectives and systems that directly impact HR initiatives and overall business plans for the company
Facilitates effective communication between HR and business leaders to provide visibility to upcoming HR initiatives and employee issues
Coach business leaders on key HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development
Participates in the development and execution of department goals, objectives and systems that directly impact HR initiatives and overall business plans for the company
Occasional travel to Corporate office in Madison, WI, and regular visits to plants across greater Wisconsin and Michigan
Coordinate strike contingency planning
Assist in preparation for the expiration of each Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), including data gathering, providing recommendations and active participation during the negotiation process
Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements and non-union work agreements as appropriate and represent the company in grievance and arbitration matters
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of human resources experience and 2 years of experience as a generalist or business partner
Union experience
