Position Overview:

Navistar Financial Corporation (NFC) is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our IT team at our World Headquarters in Lisle, IL. This person will lead cross-functional teams focused on delivery of NFC IT projects by planning and coordinating all aspects of information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Work involves understanding the high level objectives and detailed scope of the project and how they fit into overall NFC business goals. The Project Manager will then partner with our NFC Business and IT teams to plan and deliver the requisite new features and capabilities to achieve the business objectives. Projects may vary in number, size and complexity. Reports to NFC IT Program Manager. This role is hybrid 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and resource plans
  • Delivery of assigned projects on-time and within budget
  • Manage project teams work (IT and vendor personnel)- ensuring they are completing their assigned tasks within the established timeframes
  • Adhere to IT Project Governance processes as set forth by the Navistar IT PMO
  • Create and maintain required project management documentation
  • Ensure projects remain in alignment with business objectives
  • Create, edit, and maintain electronic and written communications
  • Coordinate project activities and participate in project meetings with matrix partners and staff
  • Maintain and track meeting minutes
  • Identify opportunities to improve NFC results, communications, and operating efficiencies
  • Take a broad perspective to identify solutions- both individually and collectively with the project team
  • Exercise sound judgment in selecting best methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Train, guide, and mentor other professionals or colleagues with less experience
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both NFC Business and other IT professionals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree
  • At least 8 years of information technology project management experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • Masters degree
  • At least 6 years of information technology project management experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • At least 10 years of information technology project management experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience
Additional Requirements:
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.   • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent credentials
  • Experience working for Captive Finance companies, Financial Services companies, or Banks
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, and SharePoint

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or other Agile tool
