**Description**

**Overview:** Responsible for loading and unloading of materials, transporting building materials to customers, and ensuring the safe operation of vehicles required for delivery operations.

**Essential Functions:**

* Inspect trucks daily and verify they are loaded and secured properly when leaving the facility in accordance with Company and D.O.T. standards.

* Drive company vehicles, up to GVWR of 26,001 lbs. or greater with air brakes.

* Unload, protect, move and stage material as specified by customer directive.

* Conform to all safety rules and regulations of the Company and OSHA standards.

* Arrive to work on time when scheduled.

* Attend and participate in all required company training programs.

* Operate forklift and other company vehicles and equipment as trained and instructed.

* When required, participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories.

* Conform to all company policies and procedures.

* Must attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company.

* Other duties may be assigned

**Other Responsibilities**:

* Additional training such as Boom Operating, Forklift, and other specified equipment may be required.

* Display leadership and may be requested to direct and supervise within their department.

* Maintain a basic knowledge of products.

**Education/Experience / Licenses and Certifications:**

* High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent work experience and/or training.

* Basic understanding and knowledge of operation of a forklift and other equipment.

* Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials

* Have a registered Class A or B - Commercial Drivers License (CDL).

* Medical Certification Card

**Position Type / Expected Hours of Work**

Able to work a minimum of 30-40_ hours per week. Specific job hours may vary depending on established duties and responsibilities and any additional time as required to meet goals and objectives. In accordance with company policy, all overtime hours will be at the request and approval of the supervisor/manager and approved in advance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach, climb, crawl or balance. The employee is regularly required to use hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 75 lbs. and climb stairs or ladders carrying up to 75 lbs. Following proper lifting procedures, must be capable of pushing and pulling various carts with a loaded weight of up to 1000lbs a distance over 50 feet over various surfaces.

Employee must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles, and must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including but not limited to: dollies, flat carts, and rock carts.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employee maybe required to sit in truck, forklift, or other equipment and/or drive for up to 4 - 8 hours a day. Employees that work in a capacity that requires a CDL, most conform to D.O.T. standards of physical and mental capabilities.

The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to high. A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse/outdoors where temperatures can be extreme hot or cold. Employees may be exposed to other elements that require protective gear or clothing.
