Pritchard Sports and Entertainment Group is hiring for the 2024 season:

  • Event Dispatcher

BASIC FUNCTION

The Event Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a designated restroom and/or area of the facility during an event.

The Zero-Waste Sorter is responsible for collecting, sorting, and disposing of waste generated in the arena.

The Event Dispatcher is responsible for managing all incoming calls during the event shift.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES (EVENT CLEANER)

Cleaners will be assigned a specific restroom and/or area of the facility to maintain during their designated shift. Maintain and stock restrooms on a continuous basis throughout
  • Continually police suites, clubs, and premium areas
  • Remove trash, recyclables, and compost from all areas of the stadium and site exterior gates and walkway operations will commence before stadium doors opening to support pre-event hosted activities as needed
  • Adhere to sustainability/recycling procedures
  • Police public and private concourses, keep free of debris and spills
  • Police ramps and stairways used for public egress, keep free of debris and spills.
  • Police loading dock and service corridor.
  • Pull trash from containers and re-line as required. Trash is to be removed to the designated location.
  • Perform other service functions as directed.
  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance.
  • Customer service is important. Assist guests with any questions or concerns. Be courteous and pleasant with your response.
  • Be informed about your work assignment. Know the locations of entrances, exits, restrooms, telephones, concession areas, security, first aid, guest services, ticket offices etc. Know details on assigned events.
  • Report accidents and injuries immediately to the Team Leaders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be able to follow instructions from supervisor and complete all tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to carry, push and/or pull, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
  • Must be able to climb up and down a ladder.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and/or damp environments.
  • Reliable Transportation.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Janitor/Cleaning experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES (EVENT DISPATCHER)
  • Able to handle multiple tasks, to receive and communicate information to and from several sources, ensuring calls for the service area are dispatched and monitored in a timely manner.
  • Head appropriate response time/ turnover time.
  • Assign appropriate duties to team members.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Works under stressful conditions and acts appropriately using good judgment.
  • A sense of urgency is needed.
  • Multitasking is a must.
  • Follow-up is required on all duties assigned.
  • Cover open positions as needed.
  • Maintain professional relationships.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Be able to pass a background check.
  • Be available to work during scheduled events.
  • Have a great attitude, be a team player, and take pride in your work
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating days off.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1 year(s): Some similar work experience preferred.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES (ZERO-WASTE SORTER)
  • Remove trash, recyclables, and compost from all areas of the stadium and site perimeter.
  • Adhere to sustainability/recycling procedures
  • The collection team gradually transports Arena waste to the sorting area as they make their rounds. Typically, there will be a consistent stream of trash bags to sort throughout the assigned shift.
  • Separate items into their various streams: (1) landfill, (2) compostables (food/drink, food packaging, cutlery, etc.), (3) bottles and cans, (4) cardboard, (5) mixed paper, (6) glass, and so on.
  • New hires will learn the process during their training.
  • The sorting team must open every item within every trash bag before separating waste items into the various streams. Fans tend to consolidate all their trash into a bag or a box.
  • Each shift is responsible for completing a mandatory checklist before team members leave.
  • After each event, the waste is hauled to several different places depending on the stream (e.g., compost, recyclables, landfill, etc.). The Arena receives feedback on the amount of contamination within each haul.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must haverecycling and landfill experience.
  • Must go through zero-waste training by the Arena and get certified before working an event.
  • If new hires are not sorting effectively and efficiently based on our zero-waste guidelines, they are subject to review and possible termination.
  • Must keep contamination rates low.
  • Must be able to follow instructions from supervisor and complete all tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to carry, push and/or pull, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and/or damp environments.
  • Reliable Transportation.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Janitor/Cleaning experience is a plus.
  • Sortation experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
