Description

This position is responsible for the efficient and effective management of a branch. This position is responsible for leading the branch to increase sales, expand existing relationships, coaching and ongoing training of staff and developing business strategies while maintaining a consistently high service level. This position also ensures that all regulatory, organizational and financial requirements are met. These responsibilities are done within all Credit Union policies and procedures as well as all applicable laws and regulations. All Securityplus employees are expected to be ambassadors of the Credit Union delivering excellent intradepartmental and member service, while promoting the Credit Union and cross selling its products and services.

Requirements

  • Manages and controls all branch and operational processes according to the established guidelines of the Credit Union
  • Acts as a dedicated, knowledgeable and professional member of the SFCU team. Always displays a sales and community-oriented demeanor. Works within the organization's culture to recommend and make changes. Manages the issue resolution process for the branch to ensure member satisfaction. Conducts periodic and / or required audits within the branch.
  • Analyzes members' financial status, credit and property evaluations to determine the feasibility of granting loans.
  • Carries out management duties in accordance with CU policies and regulatory laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Coaches and develops staff regarding policies, procedures, sales and systems. Ensures appropriate staffing levels for the branch at all times.
  • Monitors and tracks branch performance including sales by product and team member, transaction volume and wait times. Develops and uses checklist and reports to ensure branch employees adhere to policies and procedures, member sales and service guidelines and standards and compliance procedures. Supports business development for the branch by being involved with business development opportunities throughout the community (including government offices).
  • Works with the Operations Manager to ensure that the branch employees meet all sales and service-related goals. Coordinates service and sales programs and projects within the branch. Communicates goals to all branch staff and follow through to ensure results are achieved. Ensures that each branch employee cross sells products and services to develop a full-service banking and financial relationship with members.
  • Ensures that the opening and closing procedures as well as the settlement procedures are being fully completed and the safety of the employees and the assets are protected. Ensures that the ATM is properly stocked and functional; ensures deposits are removed from ATM and that dual control is properly followed; ensures the balancing of the ATM.
  • Cross trained to be able to assist in other job areas or functions as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as instructed or assigned by your supervisor, including working on special projects.
  • Responsible for compliance with rules and regulations including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Should have four to five years' experience in a branch environment with three of those years specifically in branch management. should possess strong sales skills. Prior project leader experience desired.
