JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Department: Cardiovascular Unit
Shift Timing: 19:00 - 07:30 Monday to Friday 3 days 12 hour shift
Per Week: 36 Hours
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- BLS and ACLS
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg Cardiology experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program, BSN preferred
- Active unencumbered Michigan RN license
- One year of Cerner experience
