**JOB SUMMARY***

The Janitorial role is for overall housekeeping and cleanliness of the facility. Ideal candidate must have cleaning experience and working in an operation with strict health and safety policies and procedures. Experience working in food production or similar manufacturing environment is preferred. Candidates must be physically able to sit, stand, kneel for a period of 8 hours.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES***

* Perform a variety of cleaning activities and other duties as assigned. Including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, changing floor pads, bathrooms, etc.

* Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures including sinks, urinals and toilets; wash windows, mirrors and walls; replenish supplies in restrooms; clear minor drain blockages as necessary

* Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets

* Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment; remove cobwebs; clean desks and counter-tops

* Empty, clean and sanitize waste receptacles; pick up papers and other debris

* Ensure all rooms are cared-for and inspected according to standards

* Coordination with departments to ensure no disruption to production

* Create appropriate cleaning schedule based on needs of facility

* Record and update Sanitation schedule

* Suggest improvements and review progress with department leads regularly

* Ensure cleaning/sanitation supplies are stocked and available for use when needed

* Identify and report building maintenance needs

* Assist in maintaining custodial closet; receive, stock, organize and maintain supplies and equipment as necessary

* Maintains an inventory of all cleaning supplies, submits purchase requests as needed

* Light exterior weeding, plant maintenance, ensuring grounds are kept clean

* Performs other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS***

* Prioritization and time management skills

* Proven experience as a cleaner, housekeeper or similar role performing full range of janitorial tasks

* Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance

* Operate and use a variety of cleaning equipment, supplies and materials in a safe and effective manner

* Work quickly without compromising quality

* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs)

* Exercise good judgment in analyzing problems

* Able to read and write to understand standard operating procedures

* Regularly required to perform carrying, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, some bending/crouching, stooping, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions

* Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus

* Ability to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs

* Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 50 lbs

* Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

* Maintain organization and cleanliness

* Exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills

* Works in a timely manner to efficiently meet goals

* Ability to follow basic instructions and to maintain quality standards and production goals

* Ability to show up on time for work every day ready to work

* Exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines set forth by the company

* Must at least 21+ years old per state regulations and pass a criminal background check

**EDUCATION***

* High School diploma or GED
