Equipment Salesperson

DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Equipment Salesperson reports to the Sales Manager and is responsible for generating new revenue in retail equipment sales, services with existing Lawrence customers, as well as identifying and securing new sales opportunities within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have previous construction equipment sales experience with ability to identify potential customers, identify customer needs, assess interest, and explain all products/options available. Our current candidacy would be ideally identified in the Chesapeake / VA beach surrounding area.Essential Job Requirements Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit termsDesire to thrive in a Customer Service focused position Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interestsContact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit ordersEstimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery datesPrepare estimates and bids that meet specific customer needsPrepare and execute municipal bids Provide customers with product samples via equipment demonstrations, loaner equipment and catalogsIdentify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferencesMonitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and salesNegotiate details of contracts and payments, and prepare sales contracts and order formsQualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience Previous heavy equipment sales experience required Excellent written and oral communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business software applications BenefitsCompetitive salary Medical, dental, life and disability insurance, flexible spending account, and short term and long term disabilityPaid vacation, and employee stock ownership planLawrence Companies is an EO employer: M/W/Vets/Disabled
