Your Day at Lowe's As a Customer Service Associate, you will welcome customers to Lowe's and help them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs. You will interact with customers throughout the day, help them find and select products, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met. While you will spend most of your time listening to customers, answering questions, and organizing merchandise, your daily responsibilities may vary by department. Customer Service Associates work in one of the following departments: Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Dcor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide friendly and professional customer service. Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise. Down?stock merchandise by replenishing supplies. Process orders and deliveries accurately. Cross?functionally train in other areas to deliver the best service. Prepare merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds). Guide customers through shopping or checkout. Complete other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Six months experience using a computer. Six months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets. Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic. Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Can lift 25?lbs unassisted or 25?lbs with or without an accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Six months of retail and/or customer service experience. Bi?lingual skills. Certification in a trade related to a department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials). Travel Requirements This role does not require regular travel; occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores may be needed. Working Conditions Environmental factors vary by location: indoor and outdoor weather conditions, heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions may occur. Exposure to noise and moving equipment is possible. Lifting methods follow guidelines: single lifts limited to 75?lbs; team lifts minimal at 75?lbs or more. Powered equipment use requires proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
