Your Opportunity as the Manager, Warehouse Operations

Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices

Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 30% in office expectations

In this role you will:
  • Ensure focus on individual and team development while managing and supporting day to day activities of the team
  • Own the CHEP, warehouse real estate, frozen and cold storage programs across the JM Smucker supply chain
  • Own CHEP inventory results, budgets, spend vs. budget, accounts payable/past due performance and annual audit program across all sites in the US that handle CHEP pallets on JMS accounts.
  • Lead savings and usage expansion initiatives across the network.
  • Help facilitate contract negotiations.
  • Identify cost savings and/or continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support with the resolution of supply chain issues by working across cross-functional teams
  • Provide cross functional communication and alignment with customer/supply base
  • Manage and enhance relationships with 3rd party suppliers
  • Administer leases, ensure payments are made on time, manage landlord relationships and issues, develop budgets and track spend vs. budget, support real estate expansion or contraction efforts and market analyses.
  • Work closely with the Smucker legal team to document, negotiate, and administer master supply agreements
  • Support miscellaneous projects, as requested, on the JMS corporate warehouse team.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of progressive supply chain experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing people
  • Excellent organizational skills specific to people, projects or data
  • Exceptional computer skills
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in an environment that values peer-to-peer collaboration and managing upward through the organization
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively across organization boundaries and with diverse teams
