Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Manufacturing Project Engineer at Leedo Cabinetry in East Bernard, TX. The Manufacturing Project Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, project management, and implementing computer-aided design (CAD) software to optimize production processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for EH&S compliance and management of change related to project implementation to avoid negative impact to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost while minimizing business interruption.
  • Analyzes project requirements and performs standard technical calculations, develop proposed solutions independently or with cross functional and external resources.
  • Prepares cost estimates, Capital Appropriation Request to secure funding when applicable.
  • Develop project plan and facilitate project updates to stakeholders.Implement project to plan.
  • Review and present proposed solutions, purchasing contracts with stakeholders and legal to make purchasing decisions.
  • Support CAPEX spending process and tracking, working with Purchasing and Accounting Team
  • Support Continuous Improvement activities, provide technical support related to training, troubleshooting, documentation to Maintenance Team post project implementation to ensure proper handoff and sustaining the performance of the project deliverables.
  • Support development of Engineering Standard to document best practices for future projects.
  • Support budget preparation and forecasting activities.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and processes
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Knowledge of CNC machinery as well as cut-rite programming
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
