Quality Control Manager

We are a leading global manufacturer of electrical interconnects and power distribution solutions. Our North American Headquarters is located in Central New Jersey directly off of Route 287 is where we maintain significant on-time inventory of electrical interconnects that are produced in our factory in Germany. In addition, we are a UL Listed assembly operation that manufactures portable power distribution, control panels, and power cable assemblies. Due to our rapid growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to support and expand our commitment to excellence and maintain our goal of total customer satisfaction.
As a Quality Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout our assembly processes. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, managing a team of inspectors, and collaborating closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Manage a team of quality control inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent and accurate inspection practices.
Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues in real-time, implementing corrective actions and process improvements as necessary.
Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components meets our standards.
Drive a culture of quality throughout the organization, and a commitment to excellence.
Serve as a point of contact for customer quality concerns and complaints, leading investigations and implementing corrective actions to resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
Be aware and knowledgeable of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality management, incorporating new methodologies and tools to enhance our quality control processes.
Develop and Maintain Test Equipment, and Fixtures
Organize and manage the multidisciplinary Kaizens of continuous improvement Responsible for product quality issues, including customer complaints and feedback, production inspection procedures, final inspection, root cause analysis and corrective action management.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering, quality management, or related field or a minimum of 5-7 years of work experience in quality control
Proven experience in quality control management within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and experience with industrial products such as electrical interconnects, power cable assemblies, and portable power distribution
Experience in custom cable and wire harness industry is a plus
A working knowledge of international and market specific quality requirements. Including but not limited to: ISO 9001, IEC, UL, CSA
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques, including statistical analysis software and inspection equipment.
