Duties include loading materials, set-up, (programming may be required if Cnc) and operation of machine, troubleshooting machine issues as well as basic maintenance. Maintaining a clean work area and equipment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEssential Functions Statement(s)Set up and operate manual press brake machines to meet print dimensions.Operate Cnc press brake machines, set-up tooling, load program and set machine parameters.Practice safe work habits at all times.Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.Inspect finished products and raw materials from time to time to verify conformance to quality standards.Record information such as the number of products manufactured and tested for quality.Material handling of raw materials and finished goods may be required.Must Keep work area and machine clean and organized.Participates in process improvement/Lean Manufacturing projects when assigned.Perform Machine Operation TroubleshootingPerform basic machine maintenance as neededPerform other duties as assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSCompetency Statement(s)Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.Adaptability - Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.Professional - Professional attitude and behaviors in the workplace and when representing the company outside of the workplace.Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.Respect - Respect for oneself and for others.Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one's conduct.Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.Team player- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.SKILLS & ABILITIES:Education:High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and minimum of 5 years of machine or automotive mechanic experience. A two-year degree a plus.Experience:Press Brake operator experience is essential, metal stamping and Iron worker knowledge is a plus. Experience with automated equipment; must have a mechanical aptitude and advanced machine operation troubleshooting and math skills.Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
