Wage: $18.00 - $24.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am 2:30pm

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Welder/Fitter at a company in Saint Nazianz, WI. This is a potential to hire position. Apply now

Welder/Fitter Responsibilities:

- Understand blueprints and plans to determine the appropriate welding methods and equipment needed for the job

- Cut and shape metal components utilizing various tools

- Position and secure metal pieces using clamps, braces, and other tools to ensure they are correctly aligned before welding

- Use various welding techniques MIG, TIG & stick, to join metal parts together, ensuring strong and durable welds

- Inspect completed welds and structures for quality and compliance with specifications

- Repair and maintenance existing structures and equipment by removing defective parts and welding new ones in place

- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements for Welder/Fitter:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Experience and or training in welding and fabrication or any combination of education, training, and experience

- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings

- Strong knowledge of metal properties and welding processes

- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, CWB) is a plus

- Ability to read, write and communicate in English

- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
