Founding Security Engineer Iceberg California, United States (On-site) My client is building core infrastructure for the future of financial systems, with crypto at the center. Theyre looking for a founding-level Security Engineer to define and lead their security approach from the ground up. This is not a reactive role. Its about proactively designing and implementing secure systems before launch, working directly with crypto infrastructure, wallet design, and key management. What youll be doing: Building out security engineering and operations from first principles Leading application security reviews across crypto systems Designing threat models and security roadmaps for sensitive infrastructure Implementing governance aligned with PCI, SOC 2, and NIST standards Establishing secure software development lifecycle and incident response processes What theyre looking for: 6+ years in security engineering At least 2 years in the crypto space (infra, wallets, custody, or compliance) Experience building security programs from scratch Leadership mindset with the ability to work independently in zero-to-one environments Offer: They will exceed expectations on base salary Very generous Equity package The role is full?time and on?site at a Southern California office.
