Radiology Technician Aide

A Rad tech aid works in the radiology department of a hospital other health care facility. He serves as a valued member of a health care team, assisting the radiologic technologist with patients during the imaging process. Patients rely on him to make their radiology experience both pleasant and efficient.
A Rad Tech aide or radiology aide job description requires basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to provide assistance to the radiologic technologist. She should also be a talented multitasker, with the ability to work on several projects at once. It's important that she's a quick and efficient worker to keep up with the fast pace of the radiology department.
The diagnostic imaging assistant should be a skilled communicator, with excellent people skills, as she will be interacting with both health care professionals and patients on a constant basis. She must also have experience working with computers. It is also imperative that she is in good physical condition and has the ability to life up to 40 pounds.
