Job Summary

The Product Manager handles all aspects of product development and marketing for the pain management products category. They develop and execute marketing strategies, direct creative, advertising and promotional activities. Participate in the research and evaluation of new products. Provide sales support programs and materials for the Septodont sales team. Develop and maintain Key Opinion Leader and Influencer relationships. Collaborate with the Corporate Marketing Team.

Responsibilities

Sales Support

Develop product marketing/merchandising strategies, to include digital detailing, quarterly dealer product specials, dental show promotional traffic building programs, distributor sales meetings and training programs.
Develop sales materials (printed, digital, educational, product profiles, brochures, press releases and other communication vehicles).
Participate in training sales staff on new products, competitors products as well as industry trends as it concerns specific PM categories.
Provide company sales team with competitive product information so that they may better position the selling advantage of Septodont products.
Participate in planning and content for Septodont National Sales Meeting.
Conduct brand analytics (within Hubspot, Power B.I. and SODS) to create selling solutions and brand building.

Advertising and Promotion

Create advertising materials and digital campaigns.
Formulate a strategy and schedule (within budget constraints) for trade and co-op advertising placement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with media and digital companies.
Ensure all advertising SOPs are adhered to.
Provide design strategy and content for Septodont USA and Canada websites and product web pages.
Develop convention/trade show merchandising materials, including booth graphics, booth design, and on-sight promotional materials.

Product Development and Data Research

Track and monitor market share data; research product positioning and provide competitive analysis through available sources (SDM, Catalog, Dealer Contacts, Trade Publications, etc.). Participate in monthly regional reviews.
Coordinate and work closely with Management, Sales, and Manufacturing to convert new concepts into finished saleable goods.
Design packaging for new products (branded products) as well as change/update current packaging to comply with new FDA guidelines.
Work with sales management to develop pricing strategies and product forecasts when necessary.
Work closely with law firm to ensure that journal ads, sales/marketing materials and packaging designs comply with FDA guidelines.

Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) Support and Development

Maintain relationships, evaluate current and grow the list of KOL currently supporting the specific division (Pain Control and/or Dental Materials).
Provide KOL with marketing tools.
Develop and maintain a budget for financing KOL.
Assist the International Sales Development Manager in developing and supporting an internal and external Continuing Education program on Septodont products.

Budget and Miscellaneous Responsibilities

Plan and maintain compliance with Marketing budget.
Complete assigned Department Projects and Balanced Scorecard initiatives.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of business-to-business marketing experience including a minimum of 2 years focused on dental product marketing. Dental not required, but a plus.
Demonstrated experience of managing all aspects of a product throughout its lifecycle.
Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
Highly skilled in effective communications, written and verbal with a variety of internal and external audiences.
Self-aware relationship builder and manager
Proficient with Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sales Engagement Applications.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power B.I. and SODS Data
Proficient with virtual collaboration and presentation tools, Teams experience considered an asset.

Education

Bachelors degree in marketing
Continuing education/professional development in digital marketing strategies considered an asset.
