With offices now in Houston and San Antonio, we are continuing to grow quarter after quarter and looking for key members that will be an asset to our continuing growth.Are you great at translating big picture goals into specific action steps?Are you a serious, direct, and analytical person comfortable taking the lead?Come be a part of one of the fastest growing construction companies in Texas.NCS Company Culture:We are proud of our emphasis on fostering a strong sense of Jesus Christ and family through our values EXCELLENCE | GROWTH | CARING | UNITY .We #buildtexas We glorify God through our good works and for the good of others.Essential Functions:Leads Estimating with timely roll-out and execution of the entire estimate deliverable process.Conduct analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required documentation is present and determine scope of work.Develop full-scope estimates based on Bid-Build, Design-Build or CM/GC construction documentsCritically analyze bid documents, understand risk, opportunities and articulate those to management.Organize the bid team, providing leadership and direction with regards to means and methods, schedule, and strategy.Participate in technical proposals for Alternative Delivery projects.Provide detailed quantity take off of specific trades when required.Create detailed crew and production cost estimates and review prices with estimating team.Solicits and analyzes subcontractor and vendor pricing input when required.Attends project site pre-bid meetings and post-bid interviews as required.Identifies accurate unit costs.Performs technical/plan review as required.Accurately assesses and plans takeoff workload.Gather and monitor actual cost vs estimated cost and maintaining project historical value.Manage and maintain subcontractor database and subcontractor prequalification.Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customers expectations Minimum RequirementsExperience:Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience in preconstruction/estimating and/or operations experience on commercial construction projectsKnowledgeable of the following: site construction, foundation and structural systems, miscellaneous metals, casework, doors, specialties, interior finishes, exterior building wall systems, mechanical and electrical systems and the costs of these systemsAble to manage multiple bidding projects efficiently.Knowledge and efficiency in the following Software: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD 3D, Takeoff SoftwareStrong computer skills including the ability to use estimating software such as OnScreen Takeoff, spread sheets, bid management, online plan rooms and database applications and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)Highly organized and proficient in written communication.Resourceful and diligent in seeking solutions to problems and adapting to new situations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
