Essential Functions:

•Assist food production associates and cooks in preparation of all
phases of food preparation
•Check daily food production use records and determine amount
and type of food and supplies required for next day's menus;
obtain necessary supplies from storage areas in adequate time for
meal production
•Prepare food items using HRA and community standardized
recipes so that all food meets HRA standards; precisely follow
recipes for therapeutic diets
•Maintain effective communication with all associates in the
kitchen prep area to ensure your complete understanding of what
prep has to be done for the next day
•Help reduce costs by rotating food, wrapping all containers
properly, and dating all items as required; report any spoiled,
damaged, or outdated products to your supervisor as soon as
possible
•Practice and observe all safety and loss prevention procedures;
adhere to universal precautions and all infection control guidelines
•Maintain sanitary conditions; implement and practice the "Clean
As You Go" method to keep areas clean and safe
•Maintain or exceed HRA standards of appearance and cleanliness;
maintain personal sanitation, hygiene and health standards
•Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information at
all times
•Notify Dir. of Food and Beverage or any malfunctioning kitchen
equipment or appliances
•Perform any other reasonable task as assigned by the supervisor
•The ability to work in a safe and alert manner
•The ability to take ownership for associate's safety and the safety of
the resident

•Must disclose any medication that might impair associate's ability
to perform the job safely or competently.
Non-Essential Functions:
•Leads by example exhibiting the CORE Values through servant
leadership
•Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
•Attends required community meetings and participates Life
Enrichment activities when able
•Completes all required courses in adherence with HRA University
•Is prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a
regular, predictable basis
•Becomes familiar and understands how to report a missing person
using the Safe Return program or equivalent
•Becomes familiar and understands the steps for fire evacuation
• All associates are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure
environment for all community residents
