Position Description: This position is responsible for loading industrial silo’s and parts to ship, using Grove (mobile cranes). This safety conscious individual is always aware of his/her surroundings and treats the Grove mobile crane as his own. Availability to work overtime hours as needed and the ability to work well with others are a must. Natural motivation, positive attitude/aptitude and an outstanding attention to detail are recommended. Responsibilities: Load and move industrial silo’s and parts using a Grove mobile crane. Stage shipments based on orders. Makes sure silo and all parts are picked using packing slip as a guide, and acquires supervisor signature before shipment. Provide good customer service. The loader may need to speak to customers to relay shipment information. Maintain and perform preventative maintenance of Grove mobile equipment and perform daily housekeeping. Watches for and reports defects, imperfections and damage as the last line of defense before reaching the customer. Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as using OSHA approved mobile crane practices, and personal protective equipment. Monitor equipment for signs of wear or malfunction and report immediately. Perform all other duties assigned. Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Willingness to attend 4 ½ day course for operation of Grove crane system covering the basics of hydraulics, electrical and pneumatics along with their components and how these compounds operate and interact with each other. Basic understanding of how to read and interpret load charts is desired. Strong organizational skills. Outstanding attention to detail. Solid verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work with minimum supervision. Maintain accurate work and good levels of concentration. Ability to work in a team environment and/or on an individual basis.
