Individual contributor responsible for Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation in an agile software development environment. This role will play a key part in developing infrastructure as code - utilizing modern cloud services, development languages, frameworks and methodologies.

This position is a key member of the DevSecOps team which is comprised of highly skilled individuals tasked with re-imagining the next generation of CNA's cloud platform and development tools. This team is focused on automating the delivery of environments in the public cloud with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This position will utilize multiple cloud services and make them operational for CNA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

Partners with architects and application development teams to evaluate new cloud services, features, & enhancementsDetermines secure patterns & configurations for cloud servicesWrites code, scripts, and templates to automate the provisioning and de-provisioning of cloud services using tools like Terraform and cloud provider APIsEnsures the security of CNA's cloud infrastructureUses Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to ensure the availability and resilience of CNA's public cloud hosted applicationsProvides technical consulting and expertise to application teams using public cloud servicesManages CNA's public cloud environmentsEnhances CNA's automation and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelinesManages CNA's cloud development tools including CI/CD orchestration platforms, source code repositories, artifact repositories, code quality tools, etc.May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Experience with Java, Go, Python, and other Object Oriented languagesExperience in development using REST APIsStrong collaboration and communication skillsA passion for growing skills and solving complex and challenging problemsExperience in developing integration solutions and automationExperience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Vault, Jenkins/Concourse, Spring BootExperience with Public Cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or AzureExperience with Cloud Networking, Cloud Storage, Cloud SecurityExperience in Object Oriented and Service Oriented Architectures as well as Design PatternsPreferred:

Working knowledge of core Google Cloud Platform servicesIn depth understanding of KubernetesUnderstanding of and experience creating CI/CD pipelinesStrong understanding of TDD and automated unit, integration & acceptance testingExperience in researching and prototyping new capabilitiesExperience using and administering Linux and Windows Server operating systemsExperience with development tools such as Nexus, Artifactory, SonarQube, Git, SVN, Jira, etcEducation & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experienceTypically a minimum of ten years of Information Technology experience in IT Applications Development and/or IT Infrastructure Quality AssuranceApplicable certifications preferred
