Covia is looking for a dynamic Bagger/Loader who will have a positive impact on the Operations Team team at its Emmett, ID location. As a Bagger/Loader, you will operate a forklift, bagging machine and palletize sand. The Bagger/Loader is also responsible to maintain the warehouse in good order.

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:

•Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.

•Operate a bagging machine

•Manually stack 50lb bags on a pallet from a conveyor

•Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.

•Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.

•Direct spouts and position receptacles, such as bins, carts, or containers, so they can be loaded.

•Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift cargo and guide loads.

•Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.

•General housekeeping duties.

•Operate forklifts

•Performing General Physical Activities

•Handling and Moving Objects

•Controlling Machines and Processes

•Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment

•Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards

•Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates

•Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings

•Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material

•Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with normal supervision
  • Communication skills
  • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Basic knowledge of testing procedures
  • Prior forklift or mobile equipment experience
