Qualifications Duties/Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and extend programs for automated R&D / production testing of optical metasurfaces. Bring-up, test, and integrate control software of low-level hardware components. Define and perform QA routines to validate characterization stations. Systematically document test results and testing procedures. Participate in code review process. Present data, methods, and conclusions to the technical and leadership team Collaborate with a small team in a fast-paced environment to continuously expand testing capability and inform production of future metasurface generations. Required Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in Python related to hardware control, data analysis, and database interfacing. Familiarity interfacing with SQL databases (experience managing/migrating data is a plus). Previous experience working with microcontrollers and serial devices. Knowledge of version control tools such as git. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Collaborative, team player, and proactive. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of automation best-practices and CI principles. Experience using database visualization tools (such as Tableau). Experience with optical characterization tools including spectrometers, photodiodes, laser sources, etc. Education and Experience: University degree (BS or higher, MS preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field Minimum two years of experience related to testing automation. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
