Summary A Japanese food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Director to lead our IT department and drive technological initiatives within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, IT security best practices, and network and infrastructure management.

Essential Duties ERP Management: Oversee the implementation, customization, and maintenance of our ERP system to meet the organization's needs. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify ERP requirements and optimize system functionality. Provide leadership and direction to ERP administrators and support staff. IT Security: Develop and implement IT security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect the organization's digital assets. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions. Stay current with emerging threats and trends in cybersecurity and proactively mitigate risks. Network and Infrastructure: Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and telecommunications systems. Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of network services to meet business requirements. Lead efforts to optimize network efficiency and minimize downtime through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations. Encourage professional development and skills enhancement to ensure the team remains current with technology trends and best practices. Vendor Management: Evaluate and select third-party vendors and service providers for IT-related products and services. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of service. Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for technological innovation and process improvement to drive business growth and efficiency. Collaborate with executive leadership to define IT priorities and allocate resources effectively.

Working Hours, Working style 9-18, fully on-site

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on ERP management, IT security, and network infrastructure in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the food manufacturing company. Proven track record of successfully leading complex IT projects from conception to implementation. In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and their integration with other enterprise systems. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including risk management, incident response, and compliance requirements. Expertise in network architecture, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VPN, SD-WAN) and experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset and a passion for leveraging technology to drive business innovation and growth.
