We are looking for people with experience as a Spare Parts Coordinator, interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our Maintenance Department at PIM's Somerset, New Jersey. This position will report to our Planning and Reliability Engineer.

JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for maintaining a proper inventory and disbursement of equipment, parts, tools, raw materials and supplies for the Maintenance Department ensuring that the manufacturing process continues in a productive and uninterrupted manner. Interfaces with maintenance, purchasing, shipping and receiving, plant controller and management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Performs the functions of ordering, receiving, tracking, storing, issuing and shipping materials, supplies and equipment.
  2. Maintains inventory, purchasing, shipping and other records.
  3. Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP
  4. Follow PIM Brands GMP rules
  5. Monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMP's.
  6. Maintains all records associated with the tasks above.
  7. Compiles data from contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions and accounting reports.
  8. Computer entry of all data.
  9. Keeps back order file in established sequence and releases back orders for use or shipment as stock becomes available.
  10. Compiles stock control records and information such as consumption rates, characteristics of items in storage and current market conditions to determine stock supply and any need for replenishment.
  11. Prepares requisitions, orders, and other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new and additional stock items.
  12. Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
  13. Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.
  14. Ability to work additional hours as needed


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Lifting and moving of objects weighing at least 35 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
  • High School education or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance-based, parts inventory setting.
  • Computer skills required, EXCEL, Outlook, Microsoft.
  • Basic math and computer skills are preferred.
  • Willing to be trained. Ability to read, speak, and write English is required
Worksite:
  • The PIM Brands Manufacturing Site is located in Somerset, New Jersey
  • The PIM Brands Manufacturing Site is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • This position requires working onsite
