Job Overview The practice of ultrasonography is performed by an ultrasound technologist responsible for the administration of high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to humans of all ages (newborn to geriatric) for medical purposes. A Sonographer/Technologist performs ultrasonography procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered or for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Maintain records, respect confidentiality, and adhere to established policies. Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures. Evaluate image quality and ensure proper identification. Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing education. Educate patients about imaging procedures. Qualifications Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDCS) or CCI certification in cardiac sonography. Current BLS certification. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sonographer/Technologist, with preferred 3-5 years. Graduation from an accredited program meeting certification requirements; Bachelor's degree preferred. Additional Details Sign-on incentive of $6,000 available for offers accepted before June 30, 2025, with terms and conditions. Must be flexible with shift rotations, including weekends and after-hours as needed.
