Job Summary:

Supervises assigned Work Based Learning (WBL) students and coordinates all facets of the WBL Program. Provides instruction on employability skills, evaluating employability, and technical skills of the students on WBL sites.

Job Duties:

Conducts employability skill classes for students prior to their assignments to work based learning sites either on or off Center. Develops employer partners and work based learning sites. Arranges for employer partners to review Center operations and trade operations. Provides work based learning orientation or training to employer partners, and obtains Memorandum of Understandings for those partners. Ensures that students perform eight weeks or more of work based learning. Arranges work site visits for trade instructors. Arranges and provides transportation as needed for students to WBL sites. Develops new training sites as needed for paid and non-paid sites. Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university; or six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

None required.

COMPUTER SKILLS

An individual should have knowledge of Database, Design, Development, Internet, Inventory, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software, and Order processing systems.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

None required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIGs Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSAs List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIGs List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
